ABOUT DRCEA

DRCEA MISSION AND PURPOSE

The Detroit Retired City Employees Association [DRCEA] is a service organization existing for the purpose of representing and protecting the interests of civilian City of Detroit retirees, the spouses of deceased retirees and other beneficiaries of deceased retirees.

DRCEA maintains a year round watch on the City administration, Mayor, City Council and GRS Board of Trustees, continually monitoring actions that may affect your pension or retirement benefits.

The majority of members, including surviving spouses, live in or close to Detroit.  About 40% reside in Detroit and another 30% live in the greater metropolitan area.  About 10% live in outstate Michigan and 20% have moved to other states.
